Most Chinese students can’t open their mouths and it is a very difficult for them to understand their teacher’s meaning. In Chinese school, the students study English from first grade but study vocabulary and write but cannot speak and listen. The students read the text and study English grammar in the lesson so that they have more skills for English test and writing. The Chinese teacher only speaks two English sentences per lesson. The first is “good morning” the second is “Goodbye”. How can we improve our skills of speaking and listening in this way?
